Grout Pump

Stabilisation and Grouting

Voids can sometimes only be detected during works, careful and though inspection during removal of mortars can identify voids.  Voids can be as a result of the original building process or can be caused due to the ingress of water. We strongly recommend to clients that if voices are detected that they are grouted, particularly if there are known building defects in the areas or near areas where the void was identified.

If the void is filled over without either deep tamping  or grouting of the void it is likely that there will be water ingress in the future. While it is impossible to guarantee that all voids will be filled, through and careful workmanship can eliminate a lot of the voids.

Masonry ruins can be carefully be stabilised without the need to remove existing stones and mortar with careful grouting techniques.
